OH WON'T YOU LIFT ME UP FIRST RELEASE OF 2026 with my good pals Liv Grace Blue and Twin Diplomacy. It's crazy how fast the murph project has grown from when I posted the Food for the Soul Music Video in 2023. It's now 2026, i'm playing some insane shows and making some of the best music ever. It's been important for me to stick to the roots of the project and core values of why I started it in the first place. I have shared a music studio with Twin Diplomacy in LA for the past couple years, and they are some of my longest friends. Real ones know that 1/2 of TD and I used to be in a music production duo in college lol. This song started when Marius (1/2 of TD) and I were kicking it in Venice on the couch, and we were like "we should make another song together". The last record we put out was "Breathing" and "Lost" in 2023 while Marius and I were both at USC. We started producing on our laptop on the laptop speakers. We were messing around with some chords and we voice memo'd the pre-chorus "to feel alive" and the song's inception began. We asked Liv to do a studio day, and we wrote the song and new melodies and lyrics. Liv can absolutely rip on the mic, so it is always super fun to track. The next couple months we spent refining, re-recording vocals and harmonies. The song continued to change and evolve, but when it finally got there, it was worth it. For this video, I had my buddy Austin come and shoot all of us on super 8 in a bunch of locations. After, I sent the film off to get developed and scanned in Colorado. For the day ones, they know how film video has been a passion project of mine. It takes a lot of my time for me to edit this whole music video in between touring, producing, personal life etc, but I feel like I can connect the visuals to the song better than sourcing it to an external person who didn't have any part of the creation of the song.
