Description

Following the runaway success of last year’s ‘All I Need’, we’re psyched to welcome Ejeca back to Gudu for another four-track odyssey of top pocket dance music. Ejeca’s reached that point in his career where he’s clearly adept enough to turn his skills to anything, but there are certain motifs that continue to crop up in his work – feel good sample flips, slamming drums, eau de French Touch – and all are in play on ‘Glyder’. The EP’s opening title track draws for the pianos and hits the giant button marked “ASCEND” right off the bat, before ‘TomTom’ strips things down to pure percussion – squint, and it could even be a sequel to last year’s ‘Enyayo’. ‘Closer’ keeps things wiggy and squelchy on what might be the EP’s most outright peaktime moment, while ‘Get It On’ takes us into the sunset with chopped vocals and filtered strings. "Really glad to be back on Gudu, and with this one I wanted to keep that French Touch vibe going with Glyder & Get It On, then shift things for the club with TomTom & Closer. Enjoy playing these out!" - Ejeca
