Description

Ewan on Gudu! Hyped to finally present 'Scottish Midgey', lead by one of the most in-demand tracks from his DJ sets for over a year now. Very few artists balance legitimacy with numbers the way Ewan McVicar has. One of dance music’s true ascendent stars, whose recent milestones include headlining Creamfields’ HALO in 2025, selling out two nights at 3Arena and a 2026 debut residency at Ibiza’s none-more-prestigious Hï club, he’s never lost sight of the scene and the town that has made him, and for the last three years has curated his festival Pavillion, focusing on bringing affordable clubbing to his hometown of Ayr. In Ewan's words: "Scottish Midgey came about after I stumbled across the synth from 2000 & One’s Spanish Fly. I ended up writing my own riff around it, and instead of the Spanish vocal I swapped it out for a Scottish Gaelic vocal… and that was basically how Scottish Midgey was born. I’ve been playing it out for about a year and a half now and the reaction’s just been pure madness every time. Proper buzzing to finally get it out there, and even more gassed that it’s coming on Gudu."
